The Spike's Delite Premium Hedgehog Food is our main staple for our hedgehogs.  We, like many other hedgehog enthusiasts, experts, and breeders, believe that a variety of hedgehog foods and high quality cat foods provides the best nutrition for our animals.  We believe that Spike's Delite is the best hedgehog food on the market and that is why it is an important part of our diet regimen.
 
Once our hedgehog babies are weaned, we feed them primarily Spike's Delite Premium Hedgehog Diet.  We strongly suggest, in fact insist upon,  purchasing at least one bag of Spike's Delite when you take your new pet home.  It is important to acclimate your pet to its new home first and to change the diet later if you find it necessary to do so.  If you choose not to purchase Spike's Delite we cannot offer any type of assistance with a shipping stress problem because the main solution is a prevention of this diet related problem.

We have found that our bag of food lasts approximately 140 days for one hedgehog or 70 for two hedgehogs.  This is determined by feeding 1 TBSP per day per animal with Spike's Delite only.
