Appointment Days

Millermeade Farms is a home-based business so we do not have regular store hours. We welcome you into our home where our goal is to provide you a warm and friendly atmosphere where we can prepare you for your new pet.

Most of our appointments are scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays, which frees the rest of the week for other aspects of the business and family time. We can schedule appointments on other weekdays if Fridays and Saturdays do not work for you but we are NOT open on Sundays.

All of our pet pick-up days are by appointment.

Our goal is to be available for our customers from 10am until 2pm. This allows enough time for us to spend with you and your pet without interfering with our family meal times. Again, if these times do not work for you we will do our best to work with you but we hope that you will be considerate of our family.

Why Come to Millermeade Farms?[back to top]

Hedgehogs and sugar gliders are very unique and different from any other animals. Over the years I have become an animal behaviorist and educator of sorts. Many of the tips and tidbits on handling and bonding are things that are demonstrated and practiced rather than simply read from a care guide. I like each potential hedgehog owner to handle several babies before choosing the one that suits them best. I believe it is also important for new glider owners to have a chance to handle and spend time with their new baby gliders here, before the trip home. I enjoy giving each person individual attention an opportunity to answer each and every question. I typically spend an hour or more with first time hedgehog and sugar glider owners discussing diet, care, bonding, and health issues.

For over nine years we were able to faithfully attend the Columbus and Indianapolis reptile shows and many other shows on a less regular basis. We met lots of wonderful friends and had an opportunity to connect with customers from across the country and from Canada. Over the years our business has changed and evolved and so has our family. We certainly will attend as many of the Midwest Reptile Shows as possible in the future but we are no longer attending the Columbus Reptile Show.

Millermeade Farms strives to provide outstanding customer handling instruction and care education. We have found that the best-case scenario to provide you with the best purchase experience is right here in our home. We also have a very busy household and three young children. For these reasons we do not meet our customers half way or other arrangements. We understand that driving to our farm is both a time and financial commitment on your part and we are committed to make it worth your time and effort!
